29 Apr New year’s Resolution reboot! In 4 easy steps
So by now more than 80% of people have fallen off the “New Me 2019” wagon. Maybe you are one of those people reading this right now… Well keep reading because I’m here to tell you that you are NOT alone and that you absolutely CAN reach your goals this year with my help. Let’s reboot that resolution this Monday and get back to work!
Losing weight is HARD. Losing weight is PAINFUL. Losing weigh is going to take FOREVER. Losing weight seems so COMPLICATED. Losing weight is IMPOSSIBLE. <— Any of these sound like you? Keep reading!
Here are 4 easy ways to reboot your weight loss Resolution.
1. Admit you need help, and ask for it!
Their is nothing more discouraging than not how how to move forward with accomplishing your goals. Maybe you feel like you have been doing everything right and this still is not working. The scale won’t budge. UGH. I know frustrating. But this 1st step makes me smile because we make it SO EASY here at 95. 2. Start with baby steps
Setting a massive goal right off the bat can be intimidating. “I want to lose 60lbs in 2019” YES! That is fantastic, BUT where is the steps in this process? “Baby steps” not only quantify your end goal but help give you direction on a daily basis.
Start with a more modest goals. “I will lose 20lbs by May 28th” or “I will lose 2 pants sizes by April” Write down all of your smaller goals so that you can see how far you have come! So exciting when you get to check one off.
3. Be honest with your efforts
Honesty is a HUGE policy here at 95. If you are honest with me I can absolutely help you, if you are not then I cannot properly guid you. Say you are having a bad day and “fall off” a bit. Maybe you turned into the Cookie Monster last night. It’s okay BUT don’t try to hide it from me. Things like that are going to happen. Weight loss journeys are not just this perfect straight path of success…they are journey full of speed bumps, mountains & hills. Nothing you can’t handle, so long as you keep pressing forward. If one “slip up” causes you to give up, you WILL NEVER loose weight. Forgive yourself, be honest with yourself, and keep moving forward.
4. Keep track of your progress
The first thing myself & my team encourages you to do is TAKE PICTURES. AHHHHHH! I know scary right?? You are here to lose weight because you don’t feel good about the way you look and now Lindsey is asking you to strip down to a sports bra and take a pic?! RELAX and stop being so hard on yourself. These pictures will be your saving grace when times get tuff, when the scale isn’t being your friend, when you just don’t feel like putting in the effort today. Take progress pics every 2-3 weeks. The evidence of your hard work will show and when you have reached your goal you’ll look back at that picture an wonder “Why didn’t I do this sooner, it wasn’t so hard”.
