The Next Chapter

The Next Chapter

Today was a day long awaited. We finally closed on the purchase of our new headquarters for 95 Nutrition! I would be lying to you friends If I told you that this year was easy for us as a company. The stress of charting the unknown waters of a global pandemic, while simultaneously worrying about the safety of our staff & customers was just about enough stress for me. But wait, there’s more! For months we woke up every morning wondering if our state was going to shut us down (like many other businesses and industries). How do you even process this?? Never in my life did I imagine we would be In a situation that we have absolutley NO CONTROL over. I am a problem solver. Present me with an issue, I am confident no matter what it is I can resolve it…the only issue is Lindsey, you cannot resolve a global pandemic. Once I swallowed that pill in April it was time to get my head screwed back on straight. LET’S KEEP MOVING FORWARD. With most industries completely shut down or working remotely our headquarters purchase slowly ground to a halt. All of our Rochester NY expansion ceased due to the ban on “non-essential construction”. I mean I would argue that providing Rochester with our delicious prepared meals is absolutley ESSENTIAL, but Cuomo didn’t think so. LOL. Months went by where it seemed like this was just never going to end. (I am sure I am not alone in these feelings).

So what am I getting at here? What is the message? Well when things finally started to get back to normal, we had to make the hardest decision of our lives. Do we continue to push forward with our growth, expansion and purchase of this massive property or do we crawl into a hole and hide out while we see where this pandemic takes us as a country? What if we buy this place and they shut us down? What if we can’t expand like we want to and we have this massive 28,000 sq foot building for no reason? What if? What if? I could have went on and on. Safe play is hold tight. Risky play is to push forward. List of pros and cons. Check, balance, recheck. Think, think, think, think… I paced so much a wore a rut into our lawn at our house while taking phone calls. WILD was the only way I could describe the amount of stress at this given time.

…Well I think you can all tell what play we took. We went for it! I believe in me, I believe in my team and I believe in our message. Together we will go far. COVID-19 was (and still is) hands down the hardest chapter I have had to navigate with this company thus far, but I can tell you one thing… you won’t see me sweat. I am not scared for our future. I am empowered by this setback. Making decisions from a position of Fear will never yield you the success you hunger for. Making decisions from a place a fear WILL hold you back INDEFINITELY in life. If you’ve been thinking of making a career change, do it. If you’ve been thinking about starting your own business, do it. If you are not happy you need to change that for YOU. Do not fear the unknown. You have more than enough inside of you to overcome any obstacle that is put in front of you. After all… you’ve made it this far! 😉

Stay tuned for updates on this project. Our headquarters will be under construction for the remainder of 2020. We will be creating NYS’s first state of the art meal prep kitchen which will include a completely refrigerated meal preparation room as well as the newest vacuum packing technology to ensure our food stays the freshest of the longest. This headquarters will also include our cooperate offices! We believe this undertaking will allow us to expand across the entire state, with plans of becoming multi-state in the next 5 years. As always, Thank you my friends for your support. It has been a wild ride and I appreciate you joining me along the way. I have had many reach out to me over the years, you are always welcomed to and don’t forget I also provide business coaching for those looking to start a journey or increase revenues with their current operations.
